Set at the end of a tidal track overlooking East Angle Bay, 4 Bay View is a welcoming coastal house in the Pembrokeshire village of Angle. The water comes and goes, the view changes by the hour, and the shoreline fills with wading birds at low tide.

Cook
The kitchen sits alongside a dining area with an oil-fired Rayburn - during the winter this warms hearty casseroles and dries rain-soaked clothes.

Wake
A main double bedroom with a view across the bay. A twin bedroom looking over the fields behind. A smaller double with an adjoining bunk room that can also take a travel cot. The bathroom has a shower, and there is a second shower room downstairs.

Retreat
Above the boathouse is the fourth double bedroom, reached by a very steep and narrow staircase - closer to a ladder than a conventional stair. Please bear this in mind before booking: it may not suit everyone.

The house looks out towards the bay and has a good-sized garden providing plenty of room to sit out on days that allow it.

Tides
The Bay
The tides are the thread that runs through everything here.
The road to the house is covered by the sea for a period of time on the highest tides. Any tide over 7 metres covers the road. Please plan arrivals and departures with this in mind, especially when catching flights.
Angle
The Village
Angle is a small village on the western tip of Pembrokeshire, set between the sheltered East Angle Bay and the more exposed West Angle Bay. Coastal walks lead out from the village in both directions.
There's a long lifeboat history. You'll see that if you visit the Hibernia Inn in the centre of the village. Old lifeboat stations still sit out along the shore, and the most recent station is a short walk from the house.
At low tide the flats fill with wading birds - oystercatchers, curlew, redshank - and the light off the water shifts through the day.
At the end of the track stands the Old Point House: a pub serving thoughtful, locally sourced food. It's a short walk from the house so worth knowing about.
There's also a play park, a campsite shop, a beach cafe, a church, and lots of local events at the village hall.
Walks
The Coastal Path
A quiet stretch of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path with views of the Milford Haven waterway can be walked as a loop straight from the house - up through the village, to West Angle Bay, and back around the headland to the Old Point House.
It can be walked in about an hour, or in an unhurried couple of hours, with sea views for almost the entire way, wildflowers in the hedgerows and a fair chance of seeing seals on the rocks below.
For those wanting more of a challenge, longer routes lead round towards Freshwater West along the coast, or further inland along the Milford Haven waterway towards the Cleddau River.

Good to know
- The tidal track
- The road to the house is covered by the sea for a period of time on some of the highest tides each month. At 7 metres and above the water comes over the road. Please plan arrivals and departures with this in mind, especially when catching flights.
- The staircase
- The additional bedroom above the boathouse is reached by steep and narrow stairs. Some people find it difficult to ascend and descend. It will not suit everyone.
- An older house
- This is an older coastal house with its own character. It is not a new-build. Expect to find quirks and flaws. As with anything old, things don't always work as well as they did originally.
- Check-in and check-out
- Check in from 3pm. Check out by 11am.
- Parking
- Plenty of space on the driveway - room for at least four or five cars.
- Children and travel cots
- The small bunk room adjoining one of the doubles is ideal for two children or can accommodate a travel cot. The other bedrooms can fit at least one travel cot.
- Dogs
- Well-behaved dogs are welcome. Ideally not on the furniture, and not in the carpeted upstairs rooms.
- Wi-Fi
- There is Wi-Fi throughout the house.
- Accessibility
- The house has stairs, uneven ground outside, and a tidal approach road. Please get in touch with any specific questions or requirements.
How to book
By the week, or a long weekend
The house is let out by the week, Saturday to Saturday. At quieter times of year (e.g. October to April) it's possible to book short stays for a minimum of three nights.
Cancellations can happen at short notice, so please contact us if you'd like to hear about last-minute availability.
